Learn Culinary Confidence in Pringle Bay Pringle Proms’ 11th October event in Pringle Bay is Brian Berkman offering a Learn – Taste – Feast cooking workshop to help people punch up their flavour game with crowd-pleasing make-ahead dishes. These may include Asian Chicken Salad; Vegan Bean Tagine; Dips and Spreads; Cookies and Cakes; Carb-free Mash, Soups equally delicious served hot or chilled and more. Pringle Proms is a series of monthly gatherings – Compelling Conversations or Arresting Performances with a meal which has received 22 only five-star reviews from attendees. This isn’t just cooking – it’s culinary confidence! “Culinary confidence comes from planning ahead and practice. This is something I can teach,” says Berkman, who regularly creates buffet lunches for between 20 and 30 people. Berkman followed a very restricted low-carb and sugar-free diet for more than a decade and frequently caters for vegan and low-carb diners. “Inviting people with different dietary requirements to the same event can be challenging, but I will share my tips for navigating these. I did a chef’s training a millennia ago and worked as a newspaper restaurant critic for many years.” “Delicious doesn’t have to be expensive,” Berkman says, “but it is important to know when using high-quality ingredients matters and when it doesn’t. Taking shortcuts is smart and I will show you how.” Book today for Saturday, 11th October, hands-on workshop and training between 10am and 3pm. Cost is R500 per person and includes cocktails, wine and all you can eat, emailed recipes as well as a fun social day together. The event is at 26 Edward Road in Pringle Bay in the Western Cape. Limited to only 12 participants. https://www.quicket.co.za/events/336735-learn-culinary-confidence-in-pringle-bay
