Pringle Proms presents an elegant afternoon of entertainment as distinguished performer Godfrey Johnson channels the incomparable No\u00ebl Coward in a specially curated revue over Afternoon Tea on Saturday, 7th February 2026, from 3pm to 6pm at Brian Berkman’s Pringle Bay home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The intimate garden performance will feature Coward’s most beloved compositions, including Mad About The Boy, Mad Dogs and Englishmen, I’ll See You Again, A Room with a View, and I’ll Follow My Secret Heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Distinguished Career<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Godfrey Johnson has been nominated for seven Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards throughout his distinguished career, establishing himself as one of South Africa’s most versatile musical theatre artists. His one-person show “The Shadow of Brel,” directed by Sanjin Muftic, earned him a Fleur du Cap nomination and showcases his remarkable interpretations of Jacques Brel’s emotionally charged repertoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Johnson serves as composer and musical director for legendary satirist Pieter-Dirk Uys and has written numerous musicals. His recent show “VASLAV,” directed by acclaimed theatre director Lara Bye, earned him multiple nominations. Other celebrated productions include “Flirting with Coward” and “The Minnie and Johnson Show,” demonstrating his range from classical interpretations to contemporary musical theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
